Square Dances in July

The Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center cordially invites you to attend our monthly Square Dances. The first square dance will be held Tuesday, July 6^th at 7:00 PM with the Ohio Swing Band providing the entertainment for the evening. This will be a concession night. The second square dance will be held Tuesday, July 20^th at 7:00 PM and the entertainment for the evening will be the Pleasant Valley Boys. This will be a snack night. The square dances are open to the public and begin at 7:00 PM. Admission is $3.00 per person. The Square Dances offer a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, and cake walk. Join us this summer for an evening of socializing with friends and good old fashioned square dancing.

Senior Golf League

at the Caddy Shack in the Cambridge City Park

Attention Senior Golfers. If you enjoy golfing, we are offering a nine week golf tournament with a two person team which is for men and woman. These teams can be mixed with two males or two females or one male and one female to a team. Substitute Golfers are welcome. The league will begin on Tuesday July 6^th from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM and run through Tuesday, August 31^st. This is an 18 hole game each Tuesday and the cost is $3.00 per person. Dress code consist of comfortable shoes and clothing. There will be a year end tournament held after the nine weeks and awards will be given to the lowest average score. If you are interested in participating in this fun evening golf league please call the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center at 740-439-6681 to sign up to play.

Blood Pressure & Wellness Checks

Available on Wednesdays at the Guernsey County Senior Center

Health Checks are provided by certified Health Care Professionals each Wednesday, from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at the GCSCC. We encourage seniors to utilize this service, which is available to assist with individual health and improved overall wellness. Day Lily Farm Tour

July 9^th

Travel with the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center for a fun day trip to Washington County to tour three Day Lily farms. This trip will depart the senior center at 8:00 AM and return approximately at 5:30 PM. The first stop will be at Firefly Hollow Gardens were they have over 2,700 different varieties of daylilies and over 12,000 daylilies in bloom. The next stop will be at Belpre for lunch at the Redwood Diner where lunch will be on your own. Next will be Rose’s Garden in Vincent for a tour of the second garden. The last stop will be Garden in the Works in Whipple for the last garden tour. Each garden has lilies for sale if you are interested in purchasing them. There is a quilt store at the last garden and they have fabric and quilt kits

Red Hat Lady Divas Boat Ride and Picnic Luncheon July 12^th

The Red Hat Lady Divas will take a pontoon boat ride and enjoy a sack lunch on Monday, July 12^th. We will meet at 10:00 AM at the Guernsey County Senior Center to car pool to Grand Haven Resort. Monday Night Line Dancing

The Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center will offer line dancing classes each Monday night from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Connie Walters is the instructor for this class. The cost is by donation. For additional information please call the GCSCC at 740-439-6681.
